Well we took one step to better our lives by moving to Texas. Our next step is to eat only organic whole foods. It's harder then it sounds!!!!
As I listened to Lisa Greene talk about how our children will be the first generation to NOT outlive their parents, my hard began to race and I almost paniked. I thought to myself, "I WILL not live to see my children die, I have had enough lose in my life and I couldn't handle losing my children". As she spoke with us, more and more of what she said just made sense to me. I understand that not everyone feels this way, even Jeff brought good issues up on the subject. But for this family we feel it is best to do everything we can to give our children, and us, the best life.
Of course High Fructose Corn Syrup isn't bad for you in small amounts, right? But did you know, HFCS is in pretty much everything we eat? So if we are eating HFCS in every bite of our 3 or for some people 5, meals a day, that adds up.
Join us in the quest to live better, longer, healthier lives. I research things everyday about organic foods and the chemicals that they put in our food. So far, I have found that alot of chemicals that our in our food are also used to make motor oil. EWWW Yuck....imagine what that does to your blood ?
Yesterday, I researched Pineapples. I was curious if Organic Pineapple juice was better then regular 100% Pineapple juice. I didn't find the answers I was looking for but I found out some great benifits of Pineapple. They are soooo good for you. They can help fight agains cancers, macular degeration(that some of you know, I am going to suffer from, if not already) and they have lots of NATURAL vitamins in them. I went out and bought a Pineapple last night, I plan to eat it alot!
I am working slowly to get everything replaced with organic. It is expensive! But we can call it a wash if we don't have to visit the doctor as much. I have lots of research to do and trial and error. More to come as I continue to switch..........................
